About Us
Clayton and Kristi Parry founded Pura Vida Golden Retrievers in 2023 with their first Golden Retriever, Journey. Their love for Golden Retrievers started when they began watching a beautiful Golden Retriever, named Carbon, for their neighbors. While both Clayton and Kirsti owned many different breeds of dogs in both their childhood and adult lives there was something different, magical and a sense of completeness in their family that came with a Golden Retriever.
They now have two female Goldens, Journey and Lainey, and look forward to adding more to the family. Their goal and desire are to breed Goldens that become a part of your family, heart and soul and bring the true meaning of Pura Vida into your life.
Not only are the Parry’s passionate about the breed but they are all in with breeding the healthiest puppies and in ensuring that each puppy goes to their new home ready to be a part of your life. The health of our dogs and litters is the number one priority – that means that they not only have the healthiest diets, active life and are socially well rounded but that they and their breeding partners have the correct medical clearances to ensure the right genetics are being bred into the puppies. The Parry’s are extremely selective when it comes to which mates they are willing to breed their dogs with.
